Definition

Employee cost

Additional cost to employee based on the benefit options chosen, which is equal to the standard value minus the flexed value. This is the net cost that an employee must pay additionally, when the value of the flexed benefits chosen (flex value) is greater than the value of the standard benefits offered (standard value).

Employee credit

Savings to employee, based on the benefit options chosen, which is equal to standard value minus the flexed value. This is the net saving an employee gains from choosing a flexed option with a value less than the standard value.
