Documentation
Definition
The display attribute "Mandatory" determines whether input in the screen field is mandatory.
The field on the screen may contain '?' if the field is outside a loop.
Use
If the field is selected, an entry must be made.
If there is more than one influencing field, the following combination rule applies. Blank means that the field is not selected, X means that the field is selected.
- Blank and blank means blank, so an entry is optional.
- Blank plus X means selected, so you must make an entry.
- X and X makes selected, so you must make an entry.
The value already displayed for the "Mandatory" attribute also counts, so this value is also included in the combination.
