Definition

The display attribute "Highlight" controls the intensity of output and input in a screen field.

Use

If the field is selected, input and output is highlighted.

With more than one influencing field, the following combination rule applies:

Blank means that the field is not selected
A field that contains an 'X' is selected:

  • Blank plus blank makes blank. Input and output are not highlighted.
  • Blank plus 'X' means 'X'. Input and output are highlighted.
  • 'X' and 'X' means selected. Input and output are highlighted.

The existing value of the display attribute "Highlight" is an influence. This value also affects the combination.
