The tax exemption rate is the proportion of the normal tax rate that is exempt from tax.
Example
If a contract account has a tax exemption of 10% for a specific tax type, and the tax rate for this tax type is 21%, taxes of 18.9% are calculated for this contract account (21% - 2.1%) instead of 21%.
