Definition

Date up to which the payment card is valid.

Use

You should enter the expiration date in a specific format (day or month).

Internally, the system represents each format as a normal date. If the format is "month", the expiration date is the last day of the month.

Example

In Customizing, you choose "month" as date type. In the document, you enter '0204' as expiration date. The system sets the expiration date to be '20040229' (February 29, 2004).
