Definition
Determines that the employee only receives the remuneration statement or the payment advice note (in Canada and the USA) by ESS.
The following applies to Canada and the USA:
If the employee is paid by check, this field has no effect on the DME preliminary program. The remuneration statement for these countries is printed on the check irrespective of this field.
Use
In the report for creating the remuneration statment, this field is only evaluated when you select the check ESS field in the report selection screen.
The date with which the infotype is read depends on the payment date of the payroll period. If the payment date is in the:
- Past, the current date is used as the read date
- Future, the payment date is used as the read date
The following applies to the USA and Canada:
There is no corresponding field in the report selection screen in the DME preliminary program. In these countries, the DME preliminary program always evaluates the field from the infotype.
Note
You can use the Business Add-In HRPAY00_ESS_PAYSLIP to change the read date for the infotype or the complete check that determines whether the employee should only receive the remuneration statment by ESS.
