Documentation
Definition
Used to define structural dependencies between parameter objects.
Use
You can create symbols of the type Parameter for parameter objects. You can use a repeating group of the type Parameter Hierarchy in the Windows Wordprocessor Integration (WWI) application to set up the output of multiple-value parameter objects within a parameter hierarchy on a report template.
You can select a parameter hierarchy in the symbol tree under Parameter Symbols -> Parameter Hierarchies that is then entered automatically on the Rep. Group tab page.
Dependencies
To allow parameter values to be read by the system, you must have assigned a report symbol group to each parameter hierarchy in Customizing for Basic Data and Tools. For more information, see Customizing for Basic Data and Tools under Report Definition -> Report Symbols -> Report Symbols -> Specify Parameter Hierarchies.
