Documentation
Definition
Specifies the character with which the individual values of a symbol with multiple value assignments are separated on a report.
Use
The following syntax rules apply when inserting a separator:
- A space is inserted between the separator and the value that follows it.
- If the separator is a comma, nothing is added to the symbol on the document template because a comma is added by default.
- If you enter a different separator, it is inserted between single quotation marks together with the parser indicator /T. The following symbol entry stands, for example, for all data records, separated by a colon:
<01G1013010VA(;*/T':')> - Quotation marks are not permitted as separators.
- If the individual values are to be separated by a tabulator or a paragraph mark, this is only possible using a discrete repeating group.
