Definition
When this indicator is set, the fields in the column in table-based value assignment are ready for input.
Dependencies
Editability is evaluated for the following columns:
- Sort sequence
- User-defined texts
- Characteristics
For characteristics, the system also takes into account as follows the settings you made when you defined the characteristic in the classification system:
- If you specified in the classification system that the characteristic is not editable, but you set this indicator here, the fields in the characteristic column are ready for input but you cannot save your entry.
- If you specified in the classification system that the characteristic is editable, but you do not set this indicator here, the fields in the characteristic column are not ready for input.
You cannot enter any other value assignment data, that is the usage and all standard objects of the value assignment instance without the sort sequence in the standard system using the value assignment table. If you set this indicator for one of these objects, the fields in the column for the object in the value assignment table are ready for input, but your entry is not taken into account.
You also cannot set this indicator for entries of user-defined text types to which a document can be assigned. The fields in the column for the user-defined text type are then ready for input in the value assignment table, but an error message is displayed.

Definition
This has the effect that the Editable indicator is set in the table entries for the sort sequence and the specified user-defined text type.
Dependencies
The system sets the indicator in the entries for the user-defined text type only if nodocument can be assigned to the user-defined text type.
