Documentation
Definition
Specifies that changing the data that belongs to the status is not permitted.
Dependencies
A value assignment instance for a specification cannot be changed if all the conditions listed below are fulfilled on at least one day of the validity interval of the value assignment instance (= [valid from, valid to]):
- The value assignment instance has an active usage, or in other words, the Active indicator is set in the usage.
- The specification has a status entry for which the Change not permitted indicator is set in Customizing (for example, Released) and that is appropriate for the usage.
The status entry is appropriate if the ratings for the status and the value assignment instance are the same, and the validity areas have at least one country (or plant, profit center, and so on) in common.
Example:
- If a value assignment instance is released for PUBLIC/DE, it is also released for PUBLIC/REG_EU because DE is contained in EU.
In order to allow data for a value assignment instance to be edited, it is not sufficient for a status entry, for which the Change not permitted indicator is not set, to correspond to the actual key date for the value assignment instance. The entire validity interval must always be taken into account.
A same rule applies for the specification identifiers.
Further notes
The conditions under which a value assignment instance is not changeable are also represented using the following rules:
- The instance has an active usage of the form
RATING_A/VALIDITY_AREA_A.
- The specification has a status entry of the form
RATING_B/VALIDITY_AREA_B/STATUS_B.
- RATING_A = RATING_B applies.
- VALIDITY_AREA_A and VALIDITY_AREA_B have an intersection with a value.
- The Change not permitted indicator is set for status STATUS_B.
