Use
You can use the following options for the entry of your search text:
- Asterisk (*) as a placeholder for the characters that you do not enter
- AND relation with a empty space between the search terms, for example: 17.06.2008 Yellow MAT02
According to your settings in the field Data Selection for Search , you can search using combinations of specification data.
- OR relation with "OR" between the search terms
- Exact phrases by using quotation marks, for example: "Yellow Color"
- Exclusing of terms using a minus sign before the term, for example: -Yellow
- Entry of a date in the form DD.MM.YYYY
You can combine all of the options names above, for example: Combustible "Yellow Color" Triphenyl* -water soluble
The OR relation has the higher priority in search queries that combine AND relations with OR relations The system interprets Triphenyl* Yello OR Red MAT02 as Triphenyl* (Yellow OR Red) MAT02. This means, the hit list delivers specifications that contain the terms Triphenyl*, Mat02, and yellow and/or red.
Further notes
Special characters are used as separators in the search term, for example, "_".
The following functions are supported:
- Search for negative values
- Search with parentheses
- "AND" for AND relation
The system interprets AND as an additional AND-relation search term and reduces the hit list.
- Search for intervals
The system interprets an interval search query, such as 13.06.2007-12.06.2008, as a search for the first value with an exclusion of the second value.
