Use

If you have set the Full import indicator, the phrases from the phrase library are physically deleted on import, except if you carry out the import using change numbers. If you do, the imported phrases are valid from the date of the change number.

If you have not set the Full import indicator, the following scenarios may occur:

  • If phrase keys and texts are identical, the phrase is not imported.
  • If phrase keys are identical, but there are differencese in the phrase texts, you can carry out import with or without engineering change management:
  • With engineering change management: The imported phrase is valid from the date of the change number.
Without engineering change management: The previous phrase is replaced in all languages for which the import is carried out. In the same way, phrase references and allocations to phrase sets are replaced.
