Definition

Use

The sets of rules are stored in the rules subdirectory in the EH&S Expert installation. The file path can either be specified directly (file name and extension) or with a subdirectory path, where you should note the following:

• Normal rule files have the extension *.rul. Compiled rule files have the extension *.ruc.

  If no file extension is specified, the system uses the default file extension .rul.

• Any subdirectories are specified as usual in Windows with a backslash.

The following table contains examples for valid path names for rule files.

File Path    Description

demo.rul    In the standard system, the sample set of rules demo for calculating the flash point is in the subdirectory rules in the EH&S Expert installation.

release\dapec.ruc    The compiled set of rules dapec is in the subdirectory rules\release in the EH&S Expert installation.

debug\test.rul    The set of rules test is in the subdirectory rules\debug in the EH&S Expert installation.
