Use

The indicator belongs to the generation variant.

If you set this indicator, the SAP system sets the released report to status Historical during versioning.

By doing this, you always have the most current report in the released status available, whilst all earlier reports are set to status historical.

Dependencies

The new and previous report must both be generated for the same three objects:

  • Specification
  • Generation variant
  • Language

Dependency on definition of SRGV

The generation variant (SRGV) must be defined as follows, so that a report one of the following statuses after it has been generated manually or automatically:

Status     Prerequisites

RR     - Manual report request

|     - no indicator Manual report requests gen. automatically

|     - Initial status = any

|

GS     - Manual or automatic report request

|     - Indicator Manual report requests gen. automatically

|     - Initial status = GS

|

F1, F..    - Manual or automatic report request

|     - Indicator Manual report requests gen. automatically

|     - Initial status = F1, F2, F...

CO     - Manual or automatic report request

|     - Indicator Manual report requests gen. automatically

|     - Initial status = CO

|

|     Note:

|     When converting the status from CO to RE, the version of the

|     report is promoted if you have set the indicator

|     Version requirement.

|     If there is no version requirement, the report retains

|     version V1.0.

|

RE     - Manual or automatic report request

|     - Indicator Manual report requests gen. automatically

|     - Initial status = RE.

|

HI     - Manual or automatic report request

    - Indicator Manual report requests gen. automatically

    - Indicator Set historical automatically.

    - Initial status of latest report = RE

If a new report for the same specification, SRGV,

and language is set to status RE, the older report

is automatically converted to status HI.

The following functions take you from the present status to the next status:

Status     Function

RR

|     Generate

|     => Conversion to initial status

GS

|     Accept

F1

|     Accept

F2,...

|     Accept

CO

|     Accept

|

|     Note:

|     The report version is promoted if you have set the

|     indicator Version requirement.

|     If there is no version requirement, the report retains

|     version V1.0.

|

RE

|     Set to historical

|

|     Note:

|     Conversion to status HI is done automatically

|     if the indicator Set historical automatically

|     is set to historical, and a new report in status RE

|     is generated subsequently.
