Definition
The first shipping date for an issue is the earliest date on which shipping can be performed.
The shipping lead time from the edition is deducted from the issue publication date to arrive at a default value. You can change this default value in the issue.
Use
- The first shipping date can be used in a variety of shipping documents. For example, the date is printed on the delivery list for postal distribution units.
- You can use a customer exit to adopt the first shipping date as the shipping date in planning. For this reason, the first shipping date cannot be changed if quantity planning has been performed for the issue.
