Definition

Name of a classic business add-in or of an enhancement spot element definition.

Use

As of Release 7.00 of the SAP Netweaver Application Server ABAP, BAdIs are part of the general Enhancement Framework and represent explicit enhancement points.

During display/change, the specified BAdI name is examined as to whether it is a classic BAdI or a new one. Depending on this, the appropriate tool is called - either the classic BAdI Builder (with the option of BAdI migration) or the Enhancement Spot Editor.

The creation of a classic BAdI is no longer supported directly; the pushbutton "Create" always leads to the Enhancement Spot Editor.
