You must have specified the storage location in the IMG activity Maintain Storage Location.
A storage location is only unique when combined with a plant. If you choose the storage location using input help, the plant is entered automatically. When you enter the storage location, you must have already entered the plant for the storage location in the Disp. proc. plt field.
If you have specified a waste generation for the entry document for which a storage location and a plant have already been specified in the master data, these are adopted automatically.
If you want to use inventory management for wastes, you must specify a plant and a storage location.
If you want to post waste quantities to SAP Warehouse Management, you must also specify a plant and a storage location. For the storage location, you must also take the following points into account:
- The waste quantity is automatically posted to SAP Warehouse Management by the standard functions post and split if you:
- Have specified a storage location to which you have assigned a warehouse number in the IMG activity Define Storage Location Control
- Have made the necessary settings for the waste material master
- You can control the posting of the waste quantity to SAP Warehouse Management from disposal processing by making corresponding entries in the Warehouse number, Storage type, and Storage bin fields. However, you can only specify a warehouse number that you have assigned to the storage location in the IMG activity Define Storage Location Control.
