Documentation
Definition
Specifies the area in which the number specified in the Auth-assgnd no. field has legal validity.
Use
At some places in Waste Management, the system uses the validity area to automatically determine from all the numbers specified here the numbers that were assigned by regional or transregional authorities for waste management business partners. By entering a suitable validity area here, you can specify whether the number entered in the Auth-assgnd no. field is a number assigned by a regional or transregional authority for the waste management business partner. You can find more information about determining these numbers in the documentation for the IMG activity Specify Validity Areas.
Caution:
If you enter several authority-assigned numbers with an identical validity area, the system only takes the first authority-assigned number with this validity area into account by default for automatic determination.
Procedure
Enter the required data. Make sure that you enter data only for a waste management business partner that corresponds with the role displayed.
Examples
- If you are on a screen or screen area with the description Waste generator, enter the validity area for the number assigned by the authority for the waste generator.
- If you are on a screen or screen area with the description Waste disposer, enter the validity area for the number assigned by the authority for the waste disposer.
- If you are on a screen or screen area with the description Waste transporter, enter the validity area for the number assigned by the authority for the waste transporter.
Validity areas can include, for example:
- European Union
- South America
- Italy
- Bavaria
Dependencies
You can only assign validity areas of the validity area category REGION here. You define the validity areas in Customizing for Waste Management in the IMG activity Specify Validity Areas.
