Documentation
Definition
Specifies the unit of measure that the system automatically adds when you enter a waste quantity without a unit of measure for a disposal document of the disposal document type. If you did not enter a total unit of measure in the disposal document and the system cannot determine the unit of measure any other way (for example, from the waste approval), it uses the unit of measure entered here as the total unit of measure. The system converts the data accordingly if you have entered other units of measure for the individual quantities.
Use
Procedure
Examples
In Germany, the quantity disposed of must be output in tonnes on the waste manifests. This unit of measure is already specified on the corresponding forms. In standard Customizing, the unit of measure TO (tonne) is therefore specified for the disposal document type BGS (German waste manifest). In addition, the total unit of measure fields are only display fields. This ensures that the corresponding unit of measure can only be taken from Customizing and that it is, if required, converted to this quantity.
Dependencies
If you set the Calculate total qty indicator, you should enter a unit of measure here. Otherwise, the system cannot calculate the total quantity in certain cases and an error is reported.
When choosing the unit of measure, you should consider the fact that you can only use units of measure for waste that are specified as a base unit of measure or alternative unit of measure in the waste material master, or that have the same dimension as the base unit of measure.
