Specifies the unit of measure that is proposed automatically in disposal processing for entry documents of the entry document category. The base unit of measure is also used in reporting for these entry documents if you have not specified another unit of measure for reporting.

You should take the following into account when you choose the base unit of measure for waste:
- For waste, you can only use units of measure that are specified as the base unit of measure or alternative unit of measure in the material master for the waste, or that have the same dimension as the base unit of measure.
- If follow-on documents are created from disposal processing, the unit of measure specified for the waste in disposal processing can be processed by the follow-on document.
- To facilitate data entry, you can also specify a unit of measure in the entry tool for disposal processing. However, the system ignores this unit of measure if you have specified a base unit of measure in this IMG activity for the entry document category.
