Use

The constraint type defines the check logic for the compliance check. The standard system can take the following constraint types into account:

  • Prohibited

The product is not allowed to contain substances with constraints of this type.

  • Restricted

Substances with constraints of this type are not allowed to exceed a certain limit value in the product.

  • Required

Substances with constraints of this type are not allowed to fall below a certain limit value in the product.

  • Qualitatively positive

Constraints of this type refer to qualitative attributes of the product (exception values). In the product, the substance with this constraint must have the value that is specified in the constraint.

    Example

A constraint with the qualitative exception value 01, that is, "yes" is specified in the specification of the diet substance kosher. The product only complies with the constraint if it is actually kosher.

  • Qualitatively negative

Constraints of this type refer to qualitative attributes of the product (exception values). In the product, the substance with this constraint cannot have the value that is specified in the constraint.

Dependencies

Possible constraint types are defined as fixed values in the domain of this data element.
