Definition
Controls whether the usage of a value assignment is active.
Use
If you activate the usage, the system can output the values assigned to it on a report.
Dependencies
A report is generated from a report template using the generation variant. The report generation variant defines the usage for the report.
If a symbol was created on a report template for a characteristic of a value assignment type, the system checks in report generation whether the usage of the value assignment to be expanded matches the usage of the report. The symbol is only expanded if the usages match each other and if the value assignment usage is active.
You can specify in the detail screen for a value assignment type that the system sets the active indicator automatically. You do this in Customizing for the SAP Environment, Health and Safety component, under Specify Value Assignment Types. Otherwise, you have to set the active indicator again after each change in the value assignment.
