Documentation
Definition
Indicates how frequently a person is exposed to an agent during a shift at a specific exposure amount rating (A - E).
The average exposure is the average value of the concentrations measured at regular intervals during a shift. The average value also reflects slight fluctuations in exposure.
Use
The average exposure frequency (1 - 4, for example) is always in direct relationship to the rating for the exposure amount (A - E). You can use one or more ratings. Your entries are not used to trigger a protocol. They are purely for documentation purposes.
Procedure
Examples
One of the tasks of the production manager is to check regularly whether the production cycle on the shop floor is running smoothly. To do this, the manager has to physically inspect the shop floor several times a day, and is therefore exposed at such times to the emissions caused by the production process. The quantity rating for these emissions is D. This means that the average exposure for the agent is D4.
