Definition

Rating for the average concentration measured for an agent to which a person is exposed over a longer period of time.

Use

This value is accessed when a protocol is triggered and compared with the trigger level entered for the protocol. If the trigger level is exceeded, the system proposes the protocol for the person affected.

Dependencies

With the report program EHS_IHORG_EG_ADJUSTMENT, the following integration options in the Industrial Hygiene and Safety (EHS-IHS) component are available:

You can transfer the ratings of agents from the exposure profile of the work area to the long-term average. To do this, the relevant work area must be related to the object that has the infotype 1403 via Organizational Management.

You can find the report program in the Occupational Health menu under Reporting -> Exposure Groups -> Transfer Exposure Profile Ratings to LTA Value of Infotype 1403.

Examples

Running machinery on the shop floor means that a person is constantly exposed to noise in the work area. The noise level measured exceeds the specified reference values by more than 50%. Therefore, the long-term average rating is B.
