Definition
The aim of the OPEN/CLOSE optimization is to accelerate the print process for mass activities. If this optimization is activated, OPEN/CLOSE instructions are only sent to SAPscript, Smart Forms, or the Form Builder, when this is really necessary (from the view of the print workbench). If the print parameters do not change during the print process, these calls are not necessary, and performance can be improved by over ten percent.
Use
Usually, this option should be activated. However, in some special cases, this function causes different system behavior and must be deactivated.
