Definition
Key date that determines the selection of historical data in business partner segmenation.
Use
To restrict the runtime of business partner segmentation, the system only reads the time slices that contain the key date you specified.
Example
- The system only reads contracts with a move-in date that is the same as or earlier than the key date, and a move-out date that is the same as or later than the key date.
- The system only reads installation time slices with a from-date that is the same as or earlier than the key date, and a to-date that is the same as or later than the key date.
Dependencies
If you have specified the annual consumption as a restriction and maintained the evaluation group, the system reads all the contracts with a move-in date that is the same as or earlier than the key date, and a move-out date that is the same as or later than the key date based on the number of months to be evaluated.
However if you have also specified restrictions based on the contract, installation, premise, connection object, or service address the system only selects business partners with at least one contract that is active on the key date, regardless of the contracts read for the consumption history evaluation.
Notes
To select business partners that terminated their contracts before the key date, use the contract restrictions to select and maintain the move-out date. The move-out date then overrides the key date.
You can also select business partner that do not have contracts. To do this, use the restrictions for the business partner, contract account, or for the business partner contact.
If you want to restrict the annual consumption, select a key date that enables the system to select business partner from the previous billed period.
