Documentation
Definition
This indicator determines whether object management records are created manually or automatically.
Use
Manual Creation
With this option, you can exercise a great deal of control over the use of the change order.
- Each object that is to be processed with the change order must be entered manually. The change order cannot be used for objects that are not entered.
- Object management records can be entered in both the change order and its tasks.
- If the object management record is entered for a change task, only the user that is the processor of the change task can process the object with the change order.
- If the object management record is entered in the change order, any user that is the processor of a change task in this change order can use the change order to process the object.
- If the Generate Task indicator is also set, any user at all can process the object with the change order. A user needs only change authorization to do this.
Automatic Creation
With this option you cannot control which objects are to be processed with the change order.
- To ensure that changes can be traced, object management records are generated for all objects that are processed.
- Manual entry of objects in the change order or change task is not necessary.
