Definition
Sum of the number of exercised awards * (fair market value - exercise price), which determines whether the spread is positive or not. If the value of the stock is 25 USD and the exercise price 18 USD, the spread is 7 USD and the option is in the money. However, if the spread is a negative number, it is out of the money.
