Definition
You can use this field to select the search mode for the business partner search in the Customer Interaction Center (CIC). The following search modes are available:
- Classic:
In this case the search criteria is only used to determine the business partner. The contract account is then also discarded if the number was explicitly entered to identify the partner. - Enhanced:
In this case it is once again the business partner that is searched for. However, under the following circumstances the contract account is also automatically identified: - Precisely one business partner was found during the search.
- During the search a contract account was also uniquely determined.
This is particularly the case if you entered the contract account number during the search. Entering a print document number always produces a meter number, and often also a unique result.
The system does not try to determine the contract account if the search only uses search criteria that refer directly to the business partner (for example, business partner number, name or address, or driver's license number / social insurance number). A search with the premise address does not determine a contract account either if the system is set in such a way that the premise address is copied to the business partner during the move-in.
The additional contract account identification has the following effects:
- The contract account is displayed in the contract account field of the business partner search, if the business partner data is displayed. In this field, "*" is displayed if the enhanced search mode is active, but no contract account was uniquely identified.
- The contract account is stored in the object store. There, it is automatically available for action box calls that have a contract account as the initial parameter. The contract account is removed from the store if, for example, a different business partner or contract account is confirmed in a new identification.
- The contract account is automatically used to filter the data environment display. This filter works directly during the selection, and cannot be changed or switched off in the data environment display itself. In this case you must reverse the identification of the contract account in the business partner search component.
In this case, the data environment display only displays objects that belong to either a partner or a contract account identified with a partner. Objects for other contract accounts of the business partner are not displayed.
If a search does not identify a contract account, all the data for all contract accounts is displayed in the environment, and the filter value defined in Customizing is used to control the dynamic filter.
