Documentation
Definition
Time duration during which the Repeat (RETRY) action for solving errors and conflicts can be exectued. Once the residence time has expired, only the Confirm (FINISH) and Discard (FAIL) actions are possible.
Use
The residence time begins with the creation of a postprocessing order in the Postpocessing Office (PPO). For this event, the system calculates the Final Processing From time that is defined as follows: Final processing from = system time + residence time. If you execute the Repeat action and the error category changes as a result, the system redefines the Final Processing From time.
A PPO order is within the residence time if the system time is before the Final Processing From time.
Note: If you set the residence time to zero, the system offers the Confirm' and Discard actions as soon as the error occurs. Since you probably do not want an immediate confirm or discard, specify a residence time that is greater than zero.
