Definition

Specifies the source of default values for linear data displayed in the linear fields of the order operation.

Use

When you create an operation in a maintenance order and you have selected one the of default rules for linear data, the system automatically fills the linear fields on the General Operation Data screen with linear data from the specified source.

You can select from the following default rules for linear data:

  • No defaulting of linear data in order operation

    The system does not set any default values for linear data. The linear fields on the General Operation Data screen of the maintenance order remain empty.

  • Default from reference object in order header

    The system refers to a reference object (functional location or equipment) entered on the Central Header screen. The system sets linear data from the functional location or equipment master data as default values in the linear fields on the General Operation Data screen. If you have entered a functional location and a piece of equipment as reference objects, equipment linear data has priority.

  • Default from order header

    The system refers to linear data entered on the Location Data screen and sets these values as default values in the linear fields on the General Operation Data screen.

  • Default from technical object in operation only

    The system refers to a technical object (functional location or equipment) entered on the Operation Overview screen. The system sets linear data from the functional location or equipment master data as default values in the linear fields on the General Operation Data screen. If you have entered a functional location and a piece of equipment, equipment linear data has priority.

  • Default from technical object in operation (preferably) or order header

    The system refers to a technical object (functional location or equipment) entered on the Operation Overview screen. The system sets linear data from the functional location or equipment master data as default values in the linear fields on the General Operation Data screen. If you have entered a functional location and a piece of equipment, equipment linear data has priority.

    If you have not entered any functional location or a piece of equipment on the Operation Overview screen, the system sets linear data entered on the Location Data screen as default values.
