Definition
Specifies a general category to which a network attribute belongs.
Use
Dependencies
You assign network attribute categories to network types in Customizing. A network attribute category can be assigned to more than one network type. The combination of network attribute and network attribute category is unique. However, you can copy all the attributes of a category to use them for creating another category.
Example
The network attribute Pavement is assigned to the category Road.
This attribute can also be assigned to the category Highway, for example. In this case, you could copy the category Road with the attribute Pavement and rename the category Highway. Each combination Pavement in category Road as well as Pavement in category Highway is unique. If you record properties for Pavement within the category Road, it has no influence on the attribute Pavement in the category Highway.
