Definition

Transfer contract.

Use

You have two options:

  • Transfer security deposits
    • When you create a move-in, you can have the system automatically transfer the security deposits for the transfer contract to the new contract. In the case of cash security deposits, transfer refers tothe transfer posting of request documents, payment documents. In the case of non cash deposits, it refers to changes to the contract reference.
    • When you reverse a move-in, the system automatically restores the security deposits transferred when the move-in was created from the new contract to the corresponding transfer contract.
  • Customer change
    • When you create a move-in as part of a customer change, open items are transfer-posted from the transfer contract to the new contract, in accordance with the settings you have established in Define Reasons for Customer Change.
    • When you reverse a customer change, the corresponding transfer posting document is also reversed. The transfer-posted open items are posted back to the transfer contract.

Dependencies

  • The transfer condition must have been fulfilled.
  • Using enhancment ECSBTI04 (IS-U move-in: determine transfer contract), you can, in certain circumstances, overwrite the transfer contract, or prevent the system from carrying out the transfer.
  • If a security deposit is entered by means of a transfer from a transfer contract then a security deposit cannot be entered simultaneously for the same contract by specifying an amount and request reason for the deposit on the move-in screen. In this case, leave move-in processing to create additional security deposits.
