Definition

The generation type determines how the point of delivery is allocated to the settlement unit. The generation type is taken into account in the following processes:

  • Generation of settlement units
  • Processes that change the allocation of the point of delivery to the settlement unit

To be able to use the settlement unit, it must first be generated.

The following generation types exist:

  • Automatic

This settlement unit is taken into account for automatic allocation. When defining the settlement unit, the system checks whether there is a unique allocation of the point of delivery to the settlement unit.
It is possible to manually allocate this settlement unit to a point of delivery.

  • Semi-automatic

This settlement unit is taken into account for automatic allocation. When defining the settlement unit, the system does not check whether there is a unique allocation of the point of delivery to the settlement unit. The uniqueness must be guaranteed by business add-in ISU_EDM_UI_SETTLUNIT.
It is possible to manually allocate this settlement unit to a point of delivery.

  • Manual

It is possible to manually allocate this settlement unit to a point of delivery.

This settlement unit is not taken into account for automatic allocation of the point of delivery to the settlement unit.
