Use
This ID is given as corresponding information for a specific attribute (code list, qualifier) in Intercompany Data Exchange.
The companies exchanging data are mapped in the system as service providers, for example. Each service provider has one or two unique external IDs for identification purposes. These IDs can belong to categories.
You can allocate the external ID (first and second) to a category. When a message is sent or received, the system allocates the external code list identification to the relevant external category.
