If "Do not display screen" is selected, this screen is not displayed when the variant is processed (but it IS processed).
Be aware that if this screen is not a subscreen, when creating a variant a function code must be triggered that navigates to the next screen of the screen to be suppressed. Otherwise the variant cannot leave the screen that you do not want to display (when this happens, the system display error message MS419 at runtime: "Screen XX was processed more than 100 times").
