Use
In normal situations, the system itself recognizes whether the attribute you enter is a field or characteristic. If you want to derive a characteristic that has the same name as a master data field, you should set the characteristic indicator maunally.
Dependencies
The F4 help for the attribute field reacts to this indicator: If the indicator is set, the help for characteristics is called up.
