Definition
Indicates if the outbound implementation supports the configuration of harmonized keys or key mapping on a level of business system, object type, and communication channel.
Use
The setting is used to verify the settings made for the communication with a business system.
Dependencies
You can only change this setting if you are using a customer-specific outbound implementation (namespace starts with Z*). In outbound implementations predelivered by SAP, you cannot change this setting.
If you indicate that keys are harmonized for a business system that acts as a target system for a replication model, you can only activate the replication model if the relevant outbound implementation supports key harmonization.
To indicate that keys are harmonized in a target system, proceed as follows:
- Open Customizing for Data Replication under Define Technical Settings -> Define Custom Settings for Data Replication -> Define Technical Settings -> Define Technical Settings for Business Systems.
- Open the Define Business Systems -> BOs -> Communication Channels subdialog.
- Under Key Harmonization, select Harmonized IDs (no key mapping)
Example
The I_MAT outbound implementation for material supports the evaluation of the business system setting. It is therefore possible either to configure harmonized keys or to activate key mapping for this outbound implementation.
