Documentation
Definition
Defines how a filter is used.
Use
The following filter types are available:
- Explicit filters
These correspond to selection options that you can configure for each replication model, filter object, and, if necessary, outbound implementation in the SAP Easy Access menu under Cross Application Components -> Processes and Tools for Enterprise Applications -> Master Data Governance -> Define Filter Criteria
The selection options fields are defined for the filter objects in Customizing. However, you have the option of overriding these when you define an replication model, by entering a different structure.
You can choose the following types of explicit filters:
- Simple explicit filters
- These refer directly to the table and the corresponding filter object attributes (for example, table
MARA
). Structures assigned to this type of filter can be extended with custom fields. Note that the fields must be part of the underlying filter table (for example,MARA
). - Complex explict filters
- These analyze the selection options using a method included in the program. In this case, it is not possible to override the assigned structure nor is it possible to extend the structure with custom fields.
- Implicit filters and implicit checks
Implict filters and implicit checks are fixed-implemented within each outbound implementation. You can activate such filters and checks in the Customizing for each outbound implementation, so that the system executes the relevant filter.
Implicit filters are designed to be reused in other outbound implementations, if required, whereas implicit checks are not intended for this purpose.
