Definition
Defines how data is replicated between systems. In addition to general properties, each replication model specifies one or more outbound implementations.
Use
You use a replication model to define how data is replicated to target systems. A replication model cannot work without one or more outbound implementations. Each outbound implementation indicates the business object data that needs to be transmitted, the class that retrieves and sends the data, and the communication channel (such as service operation or RFC) used for the transmission itself.
Within a replication model, you can decide which outbound implementations to execute in which sequence. You can also apply general properties, such as the outbound parameters
