Definition

Specifies the object master to which the object number refers.

Use

The object master and object number serve to link the warranty claim to an object.

Possible object master records are:

  • Installed base (IBAS)
  • Vehicle (VELO)
    Object of the application Vehicle Management System (VMS) in SAP Automotive. Choose this setting if the warranty claim object is a vehicle from VMS.
    Note: You do not have this option in SAP ERP.
  • Equipment (EQUI)
  • Functional location (FUNC)
  • Serial number (SERN)
    The combination of serial number and material number uniquely identifies a warranty object.
  • Other (O)
    For customer-specific master data
