Definition
For evaluation purposes, documents are grouped together under document types in consolidation. This means that the documents are given special information which is relevant for the posting and therefore for the update of the value fields in the data bases.
This way, depending on the demand, one document type can be assigned per consolidation-relevant posting transaction.
