Documentation
Definition
A quantity of document data of a chosen document type that can be chosen and displayed in the Internet scenario document search by using an Internet browser.
Use
The group determines which document data
- should be ready for input as selection fields for the search
- should be displayed per document in the hit list
Procedure
So that a user can search for documents of different document types, you create the same group for different document types.
Examples
You define the following groups:
Group Doc.type Fields
G-1 DRW Document part, Version, Person responsible
G-1 DMO Document part, Vesion, Original 1, Original 2
G-2 FER Document part, Version, Document status
In the Internet scenario document search, the users can search for the following documents:
- User A is allocated to the document group G-1.
He can search for documents of type DRW and DMO. The selection fields are ready for input, depending on the document type. - User B is allocated to the document group G-2.
He can search for documents of type FER. The selection fields Document part, Version, and Document status are ready for input.
Dependencies
The data group is allocated to a user (work step Allocate user to a group).
When you start the Internet scenario, the system checks which group the user is allocated to. For the document search, all the document types in this group that an entry with the selection fields exists for, are listed.
In the example above, document types DRW and DMO are listed for user A (group G-1).
