Definition
If you select this field, the dependent validation for serial switching is only performed for the primary meter. However, you can only do this once all meter readings have been entered for the secondary installations. Until that time, the primary meter will have status Undergone independent validation.
The secondary meters only undergo independent validations. If meter readings from the secondary installation have undergone independent validations and are plausible or released, then the secondary installation can be billed. This means that the secondary installation can be billed before all meter readings from the meters switched series have been entered. However, you can only correct the meter readings before the installation has been billed. It is advisable to wait until all readings from meters switched in series have been entered before billing the installation.
Use
You select this field if an installation possesses a large number of meters switched in series. In this case, only the primary installation undergoes a dependent validation.
If you do not select this field, all registers undergo independent validations. If a meter reading is entered for a secondary installation, it undergoes an independent validation. If it is plausible, the reading undergoes a dependent validation. However, the dependent validation cannot take place until all meter readings have been entered for all registers. Until that time, the secondary installation will have the status Undergone independent validation and cannot be billed. The secondary installation cannot be billed until all readings from meters switched in series have been entered and have undergone dependent validations.
