Definition
Identification of the profile summarizes the default values and settings of original files for processing.
Use
The profile simplifies processing original files by allowing you to to assign the following fields and settings:
- Workstation application for displaying and printing
- Working directory for processing
- Storage category for storage in a secure area
Procedure
You maintain the settings in
Maintain profile.

Dependencies
The system valuates the settings in the following ways:
- If a profile is allocated to a user these profile settings have the highest priority.
- If no user-specific profiles exist, then the system checks if the user is allocated to a activity group. If an allocation exists, the system determines the settings for the profile definition of the group.
Note:
During processing of the document info record yaou can use the function Settings in the menu Extras to enter user-specific default values for the application and the working directory. The values that you enter under user-specific settings have a higher priority than the settings in a profile.
