Definition
Converts the text so that it contains only simple characters. The system replaces special characters and national characters by calling the function module SCP_REPLACE_STRANGE_CHARS.
Example
The system replaces these characters as follows:
- á ==> AE (AE)
- Ä ==> Ae (Adieresis)
- £ ==> L (Sterling)
