Definition

This field shows how many hours the employee works in one payroll period.

The default value is determined by the Planned Working Time infotype (0007).

Use

In this field, you store the normal average monthly working time in hours, as determined in the collective or company agreement. This value is proposed in the infotype Planned Working Time (0007) and can, for example, be used in payroll accounting.

Use

  1. Conversion of hourly wages into monthly wages in infotype 0008
  2. Period factoring (partial period calculation) for payment and deduction methods. The standard system uses only WS methods which do not use this field.
  3. Estimation of the annual wage for hourly wage earners when calculating taxes for Germany

Procedure

You may have to convert the default value for part-time employees.
