You use this indicator to specify if a ratio may refer to:
- any unit of measure
- units of measure of a certain dimension only
Procedure
- If you want a ratio to refer to any unit of measure, do not enter any dimensions.
- If you want a ratio to refer to units of measure of a certain dimension only, enter the corresponding dimension.
Examples
- Per cent or per thousand are dimension-independent
- Per cent by mass refers to the dimension mass only
- Per cent by volume refers to the dimension volumes only
