• any unit of measure
• units of measure of a certain dimension only

Procedure

• If you want a ratio to refer to any unit of measure, do not enter any dimensions.
• If you want a ratio to refer to units of measure of a certain dimension only, enter the corresponding dimension.

Examples

• Per cent or per thousand are dimension-independent
• Per cent by mass refers to the dimension mass only
• Per cent by volume refers to the dimension volumes only
