The transaction type in Asset Accounting classifies the business transaction. The transaction type controls various system activities when business transactions are posted.

Example

Use the transaction type defined in the IMG activity: Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Transactions -> Tranfers -> Define Transaction Types for Transfers / Define transaction Types for Retirement Transfers. By default, the program provides both the standard transaction types 320 (Retirmt transfer of curr-yr acquis.) and 340 (Retmt transfer of prior-yr acquis f. AuC, line itm) to transfer AUC to completed asset.
