• the declining-balance method ('D') of the remaining book value
• the straight-line method ('L') of the acquisition cost.

If you choose the declining-balance method please note:

If the straight-line depreciation/amortization amount (remaining book value / remaining useful life) exceeds the declining-balance depreciation/amortization amount, the elimination program suggests the straight-line amount, and posts it if you activiated the "Create postings" indicator at the beginning of the program.
